It stuns me to LOOK at that kit, have heard him play it MANY times, and some guys think he’s boring, or NOT innovative. this guy is blazing trails in the drum world. GO TERRY. inspire!! NAMASTE
wow way out of control i dont know why you would ever need that many toms pedals and cymbals…but hey that set is sick as s**t wish i could afford something that monsterous
I am personally impressed by his dedication and to have such an enjoyable job to actually assenble, adjust, tune something that resembles a magnificent masterpiece in its structure. The Man is an obvious master of sound, co-ordination (and how many roadies he must employ?).
He obviously can’t have too much spare time, I have heard his name time & time again and still marvel at his creativeness. I thank you for being able to express my thoughts from Australia and only wish my small 15 piece still looks as good as that when I finally finish building my setup. He has given me the inspiration to plod along. And I thank you again Mr. BOZZIO.
I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the awesome work Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
what use are most of the tombs and symbols for?? you only need like 3-5 symboles and like 5 tombs plus 2 snares if possible and prolly 2 highhats, i mean, really…
This drumset is not for playing “Boom-Bap-Boom-Boom-BAP!” kind of stuff. All of those drums are tuned to actual notes and the entire kit is played melodically, like a vibraphone or marimba. It sounds really good with the right microphones on it. Terry’s approach is WAY different than what the average drummer might think, and I think some drummers would be disappointed to realize that all of that gear does not end up sounding like all of the drums in the world being tossed down a flight of stairs.
Terry would probably do better with a non-drummer audience, since they have no real preconceptions about what drums are “supposed” to be.

This is not the biggest drum set, Chad Smith, the drummer for RHCP has played a 308 piece drumset, and i doubt that this one is bigger than that.
