Cadbury Gorilla Plays “In The Air Tonight” by Phil Collins

  • A gorilla plays “In The Air Tonight” by Phil Collins for a Cadbury advertisement. 

  • Garon Michael is the drummer wearing the Gorilla suit in the video. 

  • This was voted as the “Most Popular Commercial of 2007″. 

  • However, the commercial has approximately zilch to do with chocolate.

The Cadbury marketing team’s thought process boiled down to the following equation:

(Gorilla playing drums to a Phil Collins power ballad)

= (Pure Advertising Genius + Record Cadbury Chocolate Sales)
